Interlibrary Loan Policy

The Dallam-Hartley County Library participates in the national interlibrary loan program that permits the library to borrow materials for its patrons from other libraries. This interlibrary loan service is available to all patrons whose record is clear of fines and overdue items, in all area libraries.

Books, photocopies of periodical articles, or electronic media, not owned by our library, may be requested through interlibrary loan although there may be limits imposed.

The library may restrict the number of items requested by an individual or meter the number of items referred through interlibrary loan when necessary to ensure fair, equitable and timely service, within the constraints of budget and staffing.

Patrons are responsible for all fees or charges for overdue, damaged or lost material.

Renewals may be requested with at least one-day notice before item goes past the due date. Patrons must pickup and return borrowed materials to this location.

Libraries or patrons who fail to return materials or give restitution for lost or damaged materials may be denied library services.
