Public Access Computer Use Guidelines

INTERNET USE POLICY  The Library provides these computers as a public service. Library staff will do their best to assist patrons with computer needs.

ATTENTION: Anyone using these computers for illegal activities such as viewing obscene materials or attempting to illegally access any computer or software will lose some or all library privileges. Actions that violate federal, state or local laws will be reported to the appropriate agencies.

      1. No one under the age of 17 may use these computers, unless accompanied by a parent. Parent must stay with child and supervise internet use, library will not be responsible.
      2. Software may not be downloaded or saved to the computer.
      3. The library has USB flash drives that may be borrowed for use with the library’s public computers.
      4. Files may not be saved to the hard drive.
      5. Icons may not be moved, added, or deleted. Any changes to these computers will be subject to a fine of $10.00 for each item changed, and patron could lose computer privileges.
      6. Any damages, direct or indirect arising from the use of these computers or from its connection to the internet must be assumed by the patron.
      7. Your computer use time may be limited by library staff. Patrons must release computer if asked to do so.
      8. All copies printed from these computers will be paid for by the patron, at a cost of .10 cents per page for black and white and $1.00 per page for color.
      9.  Patrons who owe fines to the Library, for whatever reason, may not use computers until these fines are taken care of. Privileges will then be reinstated. 

THE LIBRARY STAFF HAS THE AUTHORITY TO DENY COMPUTER PRIVILEGES TO ANYONE.
